School absences continues to be a growing concern for school stakeholders. School refusal is one cause of student absences and affects students, parents, and school systems. The causes and ways to identify school refusal students along with various strategies for assisting students to get back to school, will be addressed. With a greater understanding of school refusal, school stakeholders will be better equipped to address student absenteeism.
