Abstract
Change is inevitable! However, change can be challenging for students and adults. Counselors, though we are trained to assist others with change, are no different. It can be challenging even for the change agents. Maybe you are a new counselor adjusting to your role. Or your beloved administrator makes a career change and you have to adjust to new leadership. Your school closes and you are placed in a new school or level. Maybe you are given new responsibilities that take you away from what you love to do. Or are you conflicted by your personal beliefs and your role as an advocate? How can we, as counselors, adjust to change and practice what we teach? We will share stories, scenarios, experiences, and solutions to some of our biggest challenges with change. We challenge YOU to come to this session with your own change-related issues so we can problem-solve together to be the change we seek in the world.
