SLSP is offering a courier service to the 492 libraries via SLSP’s swisscovery (SLSP’s Alma and Primo environment). To date, 169 libraries are using the SLSP Courier. SLSP Courier is a nationwide order and delivery service for library material. Each library patron in Switzerland can order a book from another library and have it delivered to her/his library within max. 72 hours. With the introduction of Rapido, SLSP closed gaps in the logistics, invoicing and order process that could not be met by Alma and Primo. SLSP participated in the Early Adopter Program. As a network with 30 IZs and a NZ (where the central user management is located), Ex Libris was willing to add developments to Rapido so that it could work in such a consortial environment.
The presentation will describe SLSP’s participation in the Rapido Early Adopter Program, the nationwide SLSP Courier service, the integration with Rapido and added developments as well as the roll-out process of Rapido in the SLSP network.
