Session Abstract

The Primo VE Index of the ETH-Bibliothek contains, among other things, metadata on historical materials from the collections and archives of ETH Zurich. They often contain important historical information. To enable researchers to find and contextualize these holdings more efficiently, we have explored ways to link our resources to other data and systems.
For this, we have implemented several use cases with Primo VE Customizing. To link entities to other resources, we create special pages, in our case for persons and places, in Primo VE. For person resources, it is also possible to include further relations, e.g., information about academic teachers and students of the specific person. Example:
https://eth.swisscovery.slsp.ch/discovery/search?query=any,contains,%5Bwd~2Fperson%5DQ83501&tab=discovery_network&vid=41SLSP_ETH:ETH&lang=en
As part of the presentation, we will also briefly show how we organize the customization workflow and the source code of the implementations.
