Tour: National Museum Wales: galleries and behind the scenes
Session Abstract
Description: Join us for a tour behind the scenes of the National Museum’s stores and learn more about our rare and unique collections and how Museum staff care for them. The tour will commence with a visit to the Main Library to view our rare books and archives and will be followed by either a visit to our Vertebrate Store where a curator will introduce you to our taxidermy collections or to our Herbarium where you can view our Botanical Prints and Drawings collections.
Capacity: Up to 16 people (for the second half of the tour the group will be split into two groups of 8)
Duration: 1 hour
Location: National Museum Cardiff, Cathays Park, Cardiff, (Postcode CF10 3NP)
Getting there: Meet at the main entrance to the Museum. 8 minute walking distance from the RWCMD.
