As counselors, we are well versed in emotion regulation strategies and often teachers rely on us to help them navigate social and emotional topics with students. But, what if we gave them practical strategies to help students within their classroom and to teach social and emotional topics alongside us? Oconee County Primary School did just that. Using the Zones of Regulation curriculum, teachers led their students through feeling recognition, calming strategies, and behavior management lessons.
