Esploro Essentials: Rolling Out a First Time IR at a Small Institution
Session Abstract
Esploro provides institutions both small and large with a robust tool for managing existing or new IRs. In the 2022 Esploro Community Survey, 35% of institutions responding had FTEs of 5000 or less. Small institutions may have a number of advantages that make adoption, implementation, and institutional buy-in a reachable goal. This talk will highlight approaches taken by our small college to implement and roll out our first IR. Asset creation, Smart Harvesting, researcher profiles, and key integrations will be covered as well as workflows used to make it work. This session is ideal for small institutions new to Esploro, or existing Alma libraries considering it.
