Short Description

This study is to examine how modernization in India has changed over time from 2005-2012, and how diet spending patterns of consumers in an Indian family household has changed due to modernization. Based on the existing literature, a multidimensional construct of modernization was created using several items from the secondary data set to create a total composite score of modernization for 2005 and 2012. The study is built upon a conceptual framework which includes collaboration of several theories understanding various constructs of this study leading to the change in behavioral patterns in family households.
