This presentation summarizes the preparation, implementation, and ongoing assessment of training Library Assistants within an Electronic Resources Acquisitions Unit for migration from the Millennium iii system to Alma/Primo VE using learning theories and instructional models adapted from Information Literacy Instruction (2nd ed.) by Grassian and Kaplowitz. This presentation will:

Describe examples of how educational learning theories and instructional models can be applied to specific training and presentation methods used to introduce Alma workflows.

Describe ad hoc methods of assessing learning/training models based on feedback from staff, departmental, and institutional needs.
