Artificial Intelligence (AI) – the Library Discovery context

Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:20 AM–11:50 AM CEST add to calendar
Room AV 01.12
Session Abstract

AI and machine learning are not new, but the rapid uptake of ChatGPT and the OpenAI platform highlight the need to explore how we can benefit from such applications, and if there are any downsides. In this session I will introduce a prototype project at Clarivate to bring generative AI into discovering content. The prototype brings together the convenience of natural language search and conversational answers with the reliability of academic sources. I will discuss the goals, the details of the project, the experiences so far, and the status.
