Abstract
The use of restorative practices helps students change their behavior which, in turn, improves their academic achievement. Restorative Practices teach students skills to deal with difficult situations and increase their desire to act more responsibly and respectfully. This presentation will provide counselors with proven Restorative approaches that decrease the need for punitive approaches and increase instructional time. This presentation will also teach innovative techniques for using a restorative mindset approach in schools more effectively.
