Abstract
Although the arts can be viewed as simply an outlet for students, many are unaware of its inconspicuous benefits. The arts can improve students’ communication and problem-solving skills, collaboration, and overall increase confidence. In my presentation, I will discuss how the arts can benefit students’ academic achievement, self-esteem, social-emotional learning, and creativity. The attendees will understand how the arts positively correlate with students’ performance using research, teachers' and students' anecdotes, and data.
