General Counseling
It is impossible to overestimate the value of communication between families and schools. According to research, students who have involved families perform better academically, adjust to new situations more quickly, have stronger social/emotional abilities, and graduate at higher rates. Parents who are aware of what is going on at school can better support their children thus integrating home with school. Because of this, a school's overall equity objectives must include equitable communication with parents.
