Abstract

The Georgia Apex Program illustrates the importance of community, parent, and school engagement in implementing a successful three-tiered model of school-based mental health. The Apex approach builds on communities’ and schools' existing strengths, such as community service boards, school counselors, parents, and school administration. This research-backed model has been successfully implemented in 700+ schools in Georgia under the Apex program. This presentation walks attendees through the why, what, and how of this collaborative, strength-based model.
