Abstract
Counelors are tasked to support attendance and negative effects of absenteeism are well documented. However, counselors have little training or resources to impact change in this area. Affecting attendance is a challenge due to little parental support. With COVID-19, attitudes, viewpoints, and routines for attendance changed, making impacting attendance more difficult. Learn to garner support from administration and implement a school-wide and targeted attendance program. Leave with ideas and resources to implement in your school.
