Abstract

Delivery of whole-group counseling instruction requires school counselors to enter existing classroom cultures established by the teacher of record. In this session, participants will learn a "community gathering" strategy utilizing combined training in small group counseling, restorative practices, and social emotional learning. Come learn how class cultures are transformed the minute the school counselor walks in the door.
