Abstract

The University of Wyoming has developed a data mining process using Python and the platforms Dimensions and OpenAlex to pull institutional scholarly publication data to compare open and closed publications for 2022. We interpreted the results within a framework of cost analysis, sustainability, and interactions with other publishing practices.
