Abstract

As library professionals using complex Integrated Library Systems, we are often inundated with difficult-to-comprehend technical information. Pauline Bickford Cline, a Discovery Services Specialist with Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC), will outline best practices and insider tips for developing documentation that can be read and understood by consortia and library employees who may not have experience with more technical library concepts. With her unique perspective as a prior library employee now working for a consortium, she will share her experience translating Ex Libris documentation into FLVC LibGuides and developing trainings for Florida colleges and universities, breaking down the process of communicating technical concepts into accessible steps.
