Abstract
Many books, articles, videos, and other resources are often inaccessible or not sufficiently accessible to people with perceptual, cognitive, physical, or other disabilities. Remediation of this course material helps provide accessible content to users; campuses want to share this output across institutions to prevent double work. Metadata is a critical component of ensuring an efficient and successful accessibility workflow. The NISO Accessibility Remediation Metadata (“ARM”) Working Group is working to review and standardize a proposed metadata model to more broadly support these important efforts.
