Abstract

Over the years, we've been learning to use Alma Analytics and Data Visualization (DV) to analyze trends in our library's frequently-changing policies. We've navigated integrations, equipment audits, numerous updates to Fulfillment policies, and more — with the help of Analytics and DV. Sometimes, we find the data we need and everything makes sense, and other times, we end up with more questions than answers. In this presentation, we'll share mini-case studies, including reports, dashboards, and visualizations we've developed to help our institution respond to inquiries and change. We'll also share questions we’ve had about how to identify and analyze data; confusing data anomalies; surprising report results; best practices, and our favorite hidden gem Analytics resources. Lastly, we'll speak to how our work in Analytics and DV supports decision-making for library leadership.
