PhD CTRS
Jason is currently an assistant professor at SUNY Cortland, with over 20 years of experience in education and human services. During that time Jason has worked with at-risk youth, individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, and individuals with substance use disorders. Jason continues to work within the recovery community as a training and education consultant as well as serving on a variety of community boards.
This range of experiences has helped shape Jason’s research interests and after completing his Doctorate at Clemson University with a concentration in Recreation Therapy, he started exploring various areas of dark and deviant recreation and how social attitudes shape the lived experiences of the people we serve.
