Biographical Information
Jesy Cordle, PhD(c), LRT, CTRS, CCAT graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Leadership and Education from Toccoa Falls College and a master’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management concentrating in Recreational Therapy from Clemson University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management concentrating in Recreational Therapy at Clemson University where she is focusing on the use of adventure therapy as an intervention in recreational therapy and the role of recreational therapists in the field of adventure therapy. Jesy’s previous research evaluated the effects of utilizing high ropes courses as a treatment intervention on self-efficacy. She currently works for Chicago Voyagers as the Director of Programs, where she practices and oversees adventure therapy and therapeutic adventure programming for Chicago area youth. She has worked in a variety of adventure and wilderness-based programs with a wide variety of populations and has taught collegiate recreational therapy and leisure skills courses. She currently serves as the Professional Development Coordinator for the Therapeutic Adventure Professional Group and sits on the Association for Experiential Education’s Certification Council. Additionally, Jesy offers consulting, trainings, and clinical supervision for individuals in the field of adventure therapy. When Jesy has free time, she enjoys participating in various outdoor sports including kayaking, backpacking, rock climbing, soccer, and playing outside with her golden retriever, Everest.

Biographical Information
Emma Herndon, LRT, CTRS, WFR graduated with a bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University in May of 2024 with a major in Recreational Therapy and minor in Parks and Recreation Management. Emma works for Chicago Voyagers as a Program Leader and has previous experience with adaptive adventure programs for children with serious illnesses. In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time with friends and engaging in various outdoor and adventure activities.
