Raine McAngus, an undergraduate research student at Arizona State University, is a dedicated leader driving systemic changes in healthcare through cross-sectoral collaboration. Pursuing bachelor's degrees in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and Public Service-Public Policy, he has transitioned from pre-medical studies to advocate for sustainable change and community capacity-building. Raine designs innovative programs to develop empathetic leaders, fostering collaboration for accessible solutions. As President of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association, he leads projects to develop a diverse workforce for the nonprofit sector. He volunteers with the Next Generation Service Corps, addressing healthcare accessibility. As the Youth Director of the Valley of The Sun YMCA Metro Board, Raine supports program development. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, he examines diverse experiences through parks and recreation and the activation of community-based programming. Raine exemplifies ASU's commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and community impact, driving positive change and inspiring future leaders.
