Session Summary
School counseling involves “expecting the unexpected,” but what happens when multiple, unexpected, traumatic events impact your school community in a short period of time? How do you effectively counsel, while caring for yourself and your counseling team, when your school is in the news due to these events? This session will discuss complex collective trauma and will include school-wide, student-focused, and adult-focused social-emotional support using culturally relevant practices.
