Biographical Information
Brent D. Wolfe, PhD, LRT, CTRS, FDRT is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community and Therapeutic Recreation at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and has more than 20 years of experience in the RT profession as a practitioner and educator. Dr. Wolfe completed his graduate work at the University of Georgia. He has served on the board of the National Therapeutic Recreation Society (NTRS) and the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA), and currently serves as the Executive Director for ATRA. Dr. Wolfe believes that the two most important keys to being a successful leader, student, therapist, and person are listening and empathy. He spends his free time with his wife Becky, their two daughters, Austyn Grace and Taylor Faith, their dogs Bella and Lobo, and cat Blue.

Biographical Information
Anne Richard, MS, LRT, CTRS, CAE is currently the Executive Director of the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Over her 30+ year career in the therapeutic recreation profession, she’s worked as a therapist, consultant, educator, and manager. As a recreational therapist, her primary focus was on improving the quality of life for persons receiving mental health services and for older adults residing in long term care communities. As a manager, the focus has always been on creating a work environment that is efficient and effective, while also supporting the mission of the organization and the quality of life for the employees. She has presented at state/provincial, national and international conferences on a variety of topics including international recreational therapy practice, professional certification and recertification, licensure of recreational therapy practice, the role of therapeutic recreation in resident quality of life, and leadership techniques.
