Biographical Information
Liz Creasman, MS, CTRS, C-IAYT is the Therapeutic Recreation Advisor at Sheltering Arms Institute in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, Liz collaborates on a transdisciplinary team in the Clinical Science department to promote Evidenced Based Practice and guide efforts of knowledge translation. She has specialized experience and training in yoga therapy, leadership, pain neuroscience education, and trauma informed care. Her previous professional roles include community recreation and behavioral health. Her volunteerism efforts include the Recreation Therapy Advisory Board at Old Dominion University, adapted sports, the Young Womens’ Leadership Alliance through the Richmond YWCA, and volunteer coordination through the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. She has presented at local, state, and national venues. Liz holds a Master of Science from Maryland University of Integrative Health and a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University. Liz enjoys creating art, practicing yoga, seasonal activities with her toddlers, and trying new ice cream shops.
