Recruitment Agents: Leveraging Regulation & Collaborating for Success
Session Description
Universities across the world partner with education agents to meet ever increasing international student enrolment targets. The UK has recently launched a sector leading “Agent Quality Framework” via the British Universities International Liaison Association (BUILA), in conjunction with the British Council and UUKI, to ensure that all UK Universities engaging with this stakeholder group enact best practice and ensure recruitment agents adhere to a specific code of ethical practice.
Join a panel of UK Universities to learn how different institution engage with agents, from the selection process and due diligence checks to training, engagement and performance management; the UK sector has created a comprehensive set of guidance to ensure quality agent partnerships.
You will also hear about how institutions, agents, and schools can work together, using the existing working relationships to create mutually beneficial arrangements including group visits, operational logistics, and country/institutional knowledge.
A spotlight on the UK’s Agent Quality Framework will provide a unique insight into how the UK sector recognises the critical role agents play in attracting and supporting international students, and how the framework provides resources to champion the student voice and choice.
