Conference
Abstract
As part of the celebration of 20 years of the library community, this presentation will explore the central role of collaboration in the development and evolution of libraries. The experience of SBS (Sienese Library System) and SBART (University Library System of the Tuscany Region) represents an innovative model in the international library landscape, created to overcome the autonomy of individual systems and promote synergies between libraries. We will analyze the structure of Alma and Primo, highlighting the challenges faced and the solutions implemented to adapt these systems to a complex and diverse reality. Through this case, we will demonstrate how the sharing of resources and expertise has fostered greater accessibility, efficiency and interoperability among the institutions in the Tuscany Region, confirming that the community is the true engine of library innovation.
