Navigating the transition to Alma, Primo, Alma Digital and Leganto can be daunting, but the Ex Libris community has proved to be an invaluable source. Drawing on the University of London’s recent experience, I will outline the initial challenges of implementation and how connecting with experienced users helped overcome them. 

The presentation will showcase the invaluable input other libraries’ understanding of Ex Libris systems has had with our transition. Their input has ranged from explaining in detail data clean up requirements to help with migration and training resources. Collaborative learning and sharing best practices were vital in ensuring a smooth transition.

We are at the start of our Ex Libris journey. While our implementation of Alma and Primo will be live by the time of this presentation, we will continue to rely on the expertise of the Ex Libris community as we continue our transition to using Alma Digital and Leganto.
