Session Summary

An interactive workshop designed exclusively for school counselors to learn about and explore innovative strategies for overcoming language barriers and strengthening family engagement. Counselors will learn a structured, yet flexible, approach to acquiring Spanish or another language within 2-3 months to enhance communication with diverse families. This session provides practical tools, real-world applications, and guided practice to help counselors build confidence in engaging non-English-speaking families, ultimately fostering stronger school-family partnerships and supporting student success.
