Session Summary

This interactive presentation will provide an overview of effectively working with neurodivergent students. The goal is for school counselors to deepen their understanding of neurodivergent students—those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other learning differences—and explore how to support them effectively through counseling and advocacy. Grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm, this session will highlight student strengths, examine common school-based challenges, and provide actionable strategies to foster inclusive, affirming practices.
