This proposal explores strategies to promote equity in K–12 classrooms by addressing barriers to learning through a dual lens of teaching and counseling. It emphasizes culturally responsive practices, data-driven interventions, and inclusive support systems to ensure every student—regardless of background—has access to academic, social, and emotional success. By bridging instructional practices with school counseling, we aim to create a learning environment where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
