Learning Objectives

The aim of this session is to share 1) How to manage systematically the addition of Open Access resources to a library’s electronic collection. (2) How to leverage an ERMS to manage an acquisition workflow not involving payments; (3) How to make the ERMS a useful tool for Public Services.

Abstract

Open Access publishing is a growing source of useful resources but presents challenges in resource management. Marist College shares how they developed a workflow for “acquiring” OA resources that parallels the regular acquisition process. Attendees will learn to address challenges of managing OA resources with an ERMS and Google Forms.
