Attendees to this presentation will learn methods and strategies for implementing ejournal preservation initiatives at their own institution. Attendees will gain insight into how to identify ejournals for preservation, discuss preservation strategies with publishers, approach partnerships with existing preservation agencies, and implement preservation language into license agreements.

Abstract

Ensuring the preservation of the scholarly record has long been a pivotal aspect of libraries’ missions. This presentation will focus on strategies for expanding ejournal preservation initiatives at libraries through a case study focused on continuing the preservation of 67 Berkeley Electronic Press journals.
