• Participants will learn how a centralized team of selection librarians with varied and unique strengths supports a format-neutral approach to the selection life-cycle and enhances the effectiveness of collection development.

• Participants will learn how organizational change gives e-resource librarians opportunities to redefine their roles and explore diverse avenues of professional development. 

University of Wyoming Libraries recently implemented a centralized selection model. Three of the librarians involved discuss the rationale for this change, highlight the challenges presented by the reorganization of collection development responsibilities, and address the implications this reorganization has for the evolution of their roles.
