Learning Objectives
Following this session, participants will be able to;
- Understand the workflow involved in bringing journal articles previously published by faculty to the repository.
- Learn the differences of publisher accession policies and the results of the number of the journal articles which can be brought into the repository.
- Learn additional disciplinary differences affecting the practices of building the repository, such as self-archiving, copyrights, accession policies, faculty publication and the strategy for outreach to colleagues across the academy.
- Learn the effectiveness of communication with faculty for encouraging self-arching and seeking permissions from publishers.
Abstract
This session will provide the workflow used to bring faculty publications into the repository and the detailed data analysis that identifies the disciplinary differences affecting the practices of self-archiving, copyrights, accession policies, and the strategy for outreach to colleagues across the academy.
