The session will describe the Read Aloud Project, in which teacher candidates from Boston College plan and teach read aloud lessons to bilingual students during their pre-practicum placements. Preliminary findings from a study examining how teacher candidates apply their coursework to their fieldwork with bilingual students will be presented.
