Abstract

National Taiwan University Library (NTUL) has explored AI since 2023, focusing on the virtual librarian "Li-bra-l-y / Li-brar-y". Utilizing AnythingLLM as an extensible middleware, the system balances cloud-based models (GPT-4&5) with local computing to ensure data privacy and flexible orchestration.

Key Applications:

Conclusion: While AI acts as a "game-changer" for repetitive tasks, NTUL emphasizes human input for legal protection and ethical compliance. Future priorities include improving model training and integrating AI into our existing library systems.
