Abstract

This presentation explores scalable strategies to expand course-integrated reading lists using Leganto through a pilot study at a large public university in the U.S. Developed after initial Leganto lists created from bookstore adoptions and syllabi revealed significant gaps, it dives deeply and reaches widely to instructors in a bustling College of Engineering to promote Leganto. The study encompasses analyses of existing lists before and after library’s targeted faculty outreach and marketing to expand Leganto adoption. Post-intervention analysis (“after”) evaluates changes in course coverage, usage, and engagement. The study examines non-mandatory methods for improving adoption of reading materials and increasing faculty participation. Findings highlight how library-curated reading lists can support student success and learning affordability and offer a sustainable model for libraries to collaboratively power teaching and learning for all disciplines.
