Abstract

Join Springer Nature and Ex Libris for a collaborative session on how they partner to work together to advance accessibility, improve metadata quality, and shape the future of open access. The discussion will explore current challenges in delivering reliable accessibility indicators, opportunities to leverage advanced tools to enhance metadata accuracy and efficiency, and ways to streamline ingest workflows across systems. We will also reflect on upcoming metadata and industry standard changes and their impact on both content providers and libraries. With a focus on partnership, the session will highlight how closer collaboration between librarians and publishers can better support evolving user needs and ensure that content is more discoverable accessible and aligned with the direction of the scholarly ecosystem. During the session, we will actively seek feedback from the audience to better understand their pain points, expectations and concerns as part of our commitment to listening and continuous improvement.
