Our annual event is held in a hybrid format, with most sessions accessible both to on-site attendees and to those joining via Zoom.
Conference
Liaison librarians need to understand the strengths, gaps, and usage patterns of subject collections to make informed collection development and assessment decisions.
This presentation demonstrates how Alma Analytics can support evidence-based collection assessment and management. Using Asian Studies collections as a case study, the session will show how a dashboard can visualize collection scope, formats, subject distribution, usage patterns, online availability, and collection age. Attendees will see how analytics can identify heavily used resources, collection gaps, outdated materials, underutilized holdings, and potential weeding and purchasing candidates.
The presentation will also discuss dashboard design, relevant Alma Analytics subject areas, and challenges related to metadata and usage interpretation. Attendees will leave with practical ideas for building subject-focused dashboards that support both onboarding and ongoing collection assessment.
