Abstract

Accessibility is essential to library discovery. If patrons cannot navigate, understand or interact with a discovery interface, they cannot benefit from the resources libraries make available.

This presentation shares SLSP’s recent work on accessibility in Primo NDE, including an external assessment carried out by a Swiss organization specialized in digital accessibility. The session will present key findings from the assessment of Primo NDE, highlight accessibility challenges, and explain how SLSP translates the results into practice.

Beyond the assessment itself, the presentation will focus on how the Discovery team has started integrating accessibility into everyday work. This includes making accessibility part of testing routines, configuration decisions and communication with stakeholders. The aim is to make accessibility a continuous practice, so discovery belongs to all.
