Abstract

At the Library System of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (SIBUCA), the decision to implement and integrate Ex Libris solutions was not a starting point, but a consequence of evidence: periodic LibQUAL surveys since 2014 revealed that, despite gains in service and space, information control remained a comparatively weak dimension, pointing to friction in the user's journey toward information.

This presentation traces how that diagnosis shaped a coherent, cross-platform user journey, from discovery in Primo, through course readings in Leganto, to resource sharing via RapidILL, supported behind the scenes by Alma, Rialto and Analytics. We close by reflecting on how SIBUCA is now measuring the impact on this ecosystem and what that process teaches about sustaining an evidence-based UX strategy over time.
