Biology misconceptions can be surprisingly persistent, even when students have access to effective explanations. Drawing from over 370 million cumulative views and years of audience feedback from their YouTube channel, the Amoeba Sisters creators will highlight six themes of biology misconceptions they have identified. This session will explore how and why these misconceptions develop and persist, share examples within each theme, and offer ideas to address them.
