General Session: Friday : Julia van Kessel: Bridging Quorum Sensing Research and Education from K-12 to University
Session Description
My research focuses on studying bacterial quorum sensing in marine Vibrio bacteria, and we have developed hands-on tools for microbial discovery across K-12 and undergraduate classrooms. In this seminar, I will describe the three primary educational and community outreach platforms that connect bacterial quorum sensing to live demonstrations and teaching tools for the classroom and community.
