Practical Applications of Library Open Workflows in the BIBSYS Consortium

Abstract
The BIBSYS consortium has started using the new tool Library Open Workflows. In this presentation we will share examples of three use cases, ranging from simple to complex, where we have applied Library Open Workflows.
The simple use case: Retrieving records from an external data source, converting them, and placing them on an FTP server so that Primo can harvest them.
The medium use case: Extracting relevant data from various locations in Alma based on a list of ISBNs, in connection with legal deposit. The purpose is to save time and make the process more efficient.
The complex use case: The National Library of Norway wants to retrieve data from the music database Discogs to speed up the cataloguing of music in the Norwegian library catalogue. In this use case we demonstrate how we have implemented a workflow using Library Open Workflows. The goal is to go from a single Discogs reference to a complete bibliographic record for albums and tracks in a fully automated process.
