Session Abstract
Content area texts provide unique challenges for ELLs in grammar, vocabulary, and discourse strategy. This workshop introduces techniques for identifying and instructing academic language forms to improve learning outcomes for ELLS. The workshop is useful for ESL teachers working independently or collaborating with content area teachers providing Sheltered English Immersion.
