Description
We have a unique relationship with Ex Libris in that we do almost all of the front line support ourselves. Because of this we have become very familiar with Aleph configuration and getting the most out of Aleph as we possibly can. This session will talk about a few of the things we’ve done to handle a variety of interesting challenges such as:
- Daemons dying for no apparent reason
- Using tab_abbrev to add an automatic date to a MARC record
- Creating a process to easily accommodate multiple Aleph libraries with different searbase, lib.ini, per.lib client files
- Using MARC formats creatively to handle different types of records that fall outside of the MARC norm
Come and share interesting things you have done and ask questions of the presenter and the group.
