The SFX and Primo Administrator as Liaison between Ex Libris and the End-User
Description
Primo and SFX administrators share many traits in common. This presentation will explore the roles and skills of Primo and SFX administrators, including a theoretical and practical knowledge of Primo and SFX software, effective communication, customer service, and a commitment to ongoing education and awareness of trends relative to discovery layer and link resolver products. The academic libraries at Montana State University and Montana Tech recently implemented Primo and SFX in a collaboration with twelve other academic libraries in state. In this presentation, participants will learn strategies to manage and mediate communication between Ex Libris and the end-user. The presenters will also share considerations and opportunities for collaborative Primo implementations.
