Their resolution always a challenge... Yet, this was the biggest benefit of all. Solving real problems, resolving design, and understanding the difficulty of the geometry through 3D became not 'a better way to do the job', but 'the only way...'

Federico Negro, CASE
Bio(s)
Federico Negro is a founding partner of CASE, a virtual design and construction (VDC) and integrated-practice consultancy based in New York City. At CASE, Federico is primarily responsible for leading efforts focused on the latter stages of the building design, fabrication and construction processes in preparation for long term building life cycle management. His focus is in the development of sustainable design & technology strategies that can more efficiently manage these processes. Significant projects include: Building Information Modeling Historical Study and Strategy Development, with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York; New York University's 30 Year Master Plan Initiative with Ennead Architects in New York ; The Louisiana State Museum and Sports Hall of Fame with VCC, USA and Trahan Architects in Louisiana; The Fenerbahçe Ülker Arena with DDG, USA in Istanbul, Turkey.
Prior to founding CASE, Federico was a Project Manager at SHoP Architects in New York. Most notably, Federico lead the design and construction of the 290 Mulberry Condominiums, SHoP's pilot BIM project. Federico's focus was in digital fabrication, leading these aspects of the design process for projects such as 290 Mulberry Condominiums in New York; 39571 Project, a post-Hurricane Katrina community center in DeLisle, Mississippi; and a sports complex for Brown University (unbuilt).
